Palin Coming to Richmond

I am sure I am not the first person to tell you this, but Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin will be in Richmond next Monday as part of a Virginia swing by the Republican ticket. (She and John McCain will be in Virginia Beach earlier in the day)

This announcement is not a that big of a surprise when you take into account the hints dropped by high profile McCain surrogates in reaction to the Politico story that claimed that high profile Republicans were concerned that McCain was losing important ground to Barack Obama in the Commonwealth.

How big of an impact it will have remains to be seen. Palin has quickly become a darling of the right and a punching bag for the left. She is still drawing big crowds wherever she goes, and a big one is expected for Richmond come Monday.

We’ll keep you updated with any new info as it becomes available. If you are interested in the details of the GOP Virginia swing, I’ve posted it after the jump.
