Palin Richmond Event Time and Place Changed

A bit of a change to the Sarah Palin event in Richmond on Monday. Campaign officials say an overwhelming response has forced them to move the event from the Authur Ashe Center to the Richmond Raceway Complex. In addition the event is being pushed back from 1 to 2pm. The doors to the event will still open at 11am.

ARLINGTON, VA — McCain-Palin 2008 announced today a venue change for Governor Sarah Palin’s campaign stop in Richmond, Virginia. Due to overwhelming demand for rally tickets, the Richmond rally has been moved from the Arthur Ashe Center to the Richmond International Raceway. The program time has been moved to 2:00 p.m. EDT. Doors will open at 11:00 a.m. EDT.

McCain-Palin Regional Campaign Manager, Trey Walker, said, “The demand for tickets to see Governor Palin has been so overwhelming, we are changing locations so everyone who wants attend the rally has the opportunity to do so.  The energy and enthusiasm for the campaign in the Richmond area is very exciting.”

Voters can continue to obtain tickets to both the Richmond and Virginia Beach campaign rallies by going to the McCain Virginia website at Virginia.JohnMcCain.com or by visiting one of the Virginia Victory Offices from 9:00 a.m. EDT to 9:00 p.m. EDT. Tickets will be available through Monday, October 13th.
