Voter registration deadline Monday
Monday (October 5th) is your last opportunity to register to vote in Virginia, in order to be eligible to participate in the November election. While this election does not have the same intensity as last year’s presidential election, we are electing three state wide candidates for office and a large portion of the state legislature. In addition, our unique status of holding such important elections in an off-year has provided a great deal of national interest in our state.
If you are already registered to vote, (and chances are if you read this political blog, you probably are) you do not have to worry. Your registration remains and you can vote on November 3rd without a problem. However, if you just turned 18, just moved to Virginia or just have never registered to vote, you must get your application in by today. If you aren’t sure if you are registered you can find out by clicking here.
You can pick up voter registration forms at the DMV or the Post Office or you can download a form on the BOE’s web site by clicking here. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this very important election that will help to pick the people that will guide the Commonwealth for the next 4 years.
