Cantor calls for Weiner to resign, will appear on First at 4 today
Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) is wading into the controversy surrounding New York Congressman Anthony Weiner. Cantor speaking to a group of reporters, including NBC29’s Adam Rhew, said Weiner should step down.
“I certainly don’t condone his activity and I think he should resign,” Cantor said after an event in Louisa County.
Weiner admitted yesterday that he has engaged in several inappropriate internet relationships with women other than his wife over the past three years. Weiner said that he does not believe the activity was conducted using official House of Representatives equipment or that it violated any of his respsonsibilites as a congressman.
Today on NBC12 First at 4, Rep. Cantor will be my live guest. We will get his take on the Weiner controversy and we will also talk about his plans to encourage job creation.
First at 4 can be seen live on NBC12-TV. The broadcast is also streamed live on NBC12.com.
